Certainly my favorite Dalek story and my favorite McCoy story, and my second favorite story of all time after The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang. Gotta love that Seventh Doctor and Ace chemistry, as well as that awesome looking Special Weapons Dalek!

i have the special edition of this, did you know the explosions were so epic in episode 4, it made car alarms go off, actual windows shatter and the fire brigade came along and were gobsmacked to find three daleks popped out from a puff of smoke after the fight below waterloo bridge.
one of my fav Dalek Stories EVER. badly underrated. Ace at her baseball hitting best and Sylvester Mcoy doing some of his best 'Humans' sarcasm - not to mention the late and very missed Michael Sheard (hey i grew up on Grange Hill !!) along with many others made this one of my fav stories.
Great Drawing Mate
I Always Loved his last line in this ep -
"Doctor we did some good didn't we? Time will Tell - it usually does"
ps loved all i have seen so far - but i was never a Tom Baker Fan (i know i know sacrilege shoot me with a Dalek gun!), my fav 3 were always Pat Troughton, Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy and David Tennant. As to companions Ace and also Tegan (i know i know i cop it for this one too lol), simply because she started as a whiny brat and then developed into a much more take charge personality and at that time i think was one of the better developed Companion Story Arcs. In the new series my Favs are Capt Jack and also Martha Brown (sorry again never a Rose Fan - opps i am sure to get death threats now !! lol).
I remember that it was the very last time I felt that surge of anticipation for the show, which I don't get with the current series. I was ,depressingly, 17 year old when this was first broadcast - I've never grown up since!
Thank you. Even better than the TV version is the Ben Aaronovitch novel, if you can find it. There is a superb chapter about how the Imperial Daleks all hated the Special weapons Dalek which They regarded as an abomination. Great stuff. Great stuff.
That's very kind of you to say so. I think Fenric amazing, even though it's a remake of John Carpenter's The Fog...only filmed in daylight! I loved Ghostlight too, even though I don't understand a word of it. I love the eccentricity of it.
I loved Colin and Sly, but they were victims of, maybe not bad writing, but careless writing by people who didn't understand the show. Colin's costume didn't help either, but McCoy's dark and mysterious portrayal was brilliant - he seemed the most omnipotent of all the Doctors to date. Ace was rather cute too....
