Certainly my favorite Dalek story and my favorite McCoy story, and my second favorite story of all time after The Pandorica Opens/The Big Bang. Gotta love that Seventh Doctor and Ace chemistry, as well as that awesome looking Special Weapons Dalek!

i have the special edition of this, did you know the explosions were so epic in episode 4, it made car alarms go off, actual windows shatter and the fire brigade came along and were gobsmacked to find three daleks popped out from a puff of smoke after the fight below waterloo bridge.

This was definately one of the best McCoy stories. I also have to agree it was an EXCELLENT Dalek story. One of my other favorites is Battlefield. You ever do any art for that one?

one of my fav Dalek Stories EVER.
badly underrated.
Ace at her baseball hitting best and Sylvester Mcoy doing some of his best 'Humans' sarcasm - not to mention the late and very missed Michael Sheard (hey i grew up on Grange Hill !!) along with many others made this one of my fav stories.

Great Drawing Mate

I Always Loved his last line in this ep -

"Doctor we did some good didn't we?
Time will Tell - it usually does"

stephen aussie.

ps
loved all i have seen so far - but i was never a Tom Baker Fan (i know i know sacrilege shoot me with a Dalek gun!), my fav 3 were always Pat Troughton, Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy and David Tennant.
As to companions Ace and also Tegan (i know i know i cop it for this one too lol), simply because she started as a whiny brat and then developed into a much more take charge personality and at that time i think was one of the better developed Companion Story Arcs.
In the new series my Favs are Capt Jack and also Martha Brown (sorry again never a Rose Fan - opps i am sure to get death threats now !! lol).

Anyway thanks for the rant -

keep sharing its appreciated

Gilmore- "My men just put three high-explosive
grenades into a confined area, nothing even remotely human could have survived that"

Doctor- "That's the point Group Captain, it isn't even remotely human!"

Like this- visually striking- Imposing 7th Doctor- not overcrowded and like the subtle hexagon motif as well.

Thank you.
I was really pleased about the hexagon motif as well, double thanks for noticing...my favourite part of the whole image to be honest.

The dialogue is great - to me it epitomises the Doctor at his best.

Amazing art work representing a fantastic Dalek story! Well done!

Remembrance of the Daleks holds a special place in my childhood as it was the first Dalek story I saw broadcast "live"!

I remember that it was the very last time I felt that surge of anticipation for the show, which I don't get with the current series.
I was ,depressingly, 17 year old when this was first broadcast - I've never grown up since!

Even better than the TV version is the Ben Aaronovitch novel, if you can find it.
There is a superb chapter about how the Imperial Daleks all hated the Special weapons Dalek which They regarded as an abomination.
Great stuff.
Great stuff.

yeah I always mention this one to people who say there weren't any good stories in that era. I also liked his Curse of Fenric a lot too.

I'd quite like a figure of the special weapons Dalek. Hopefully character options will released one for the classics range if they haven't done so already.

Anyways great work as usual. They should include these as a postcard or folded up poster in the DVD releases.

That's very kind of you to say so.
I think Fenric amazing, even though it's a remake of John Carpenter's The Fog...only filmed in daylight!
I loved Ghostlight too, even though I don't understand a word of it. I love the eccentricity of it.

I loved Colin and Sly, but they were victims of, maybe not bad writing, but careless writing by people who didn't understand the show.
Colin's costume didn't help either, but McCoy's dark and mysterious portrayal was brilliant - he seemed the most omnipotent of all the Doctors to date.
Ace was rather cute too....

Ace is mine *hisses protectively*

I totally agree with you. I've heard most of Colin's audio work, and they really show how good he could've been if given the chance.

And, shoot me for it, but I kinda liked his outfit.
